Cute Critters

We recently took a vacation to Florida and, while there, I found out that the Pink and Main Boutique store was in the Sarasota area.

We had spent the first half of the week south of Sarasota and were passing back through on our way to the Space Coast for the last half of the week.

My husband knew how much I wanted to stop, so we adjusted our travels to include a quick stop at the store.

I love that you are greeted with a Pink and Main street sign at the front of the store. (I promise I was happy here…just squinting in the sun).

Oh my…how fun! It’s a beautiful store, packed full of Pink and Main products, as well as many other paper-crafting product brands.

Two stunning murals catch your attention as soon as you walk through the door.

I stuck to the perimeter of the store, which was a sea of pink…where I found all of the amazing Pink and Main products.

As soon as you walk through the front door, you are not only met by the kindest and most helpful Pink and Main employee (thank you for an awesome experience, Kimber!), you’ll see two stunning murals on the upper walls. Absolutely gorgeous!

They also have a fun “selfie wall” set up, which provides a great photo op to remember your visit.

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to stop in. It was a fun mid-vacation crafty detour.

So…this week I’m playing along with the monthly challenge on the Pink and Main blog. The challenge theme for April is Cute Critters.

For my card, I used the new Pink and Main stamp and die set called Page Turner (cute little mouse with book and the Happy Birthday Sentiment). I also used an older set called Make a Wish (Make a Wish sentiment and balloons).

For the shaker, I used the 3.125” Square Shaker Cover and filled it with Party Dots Confetti. Lastly, I embossed the aqua cardstock with the Typewriter 6×6 Embossing Folder, all from Pink and Main.

I colored the mouse with alcohol markers and used an ombré stamping technique for the large sentiment and one of the balloons.

I think this will make an extra-special birthday greeting for someone and am pleased with how it all came together with the cute mouse, sentiments and fun shaker bits from Pink and Main.

I do hope I get to visit the Pink and Main Boutique store again some day…and if you’re ever in the area, make sure you look them up and pay them a visit. You won’t be disappointed!
