Matchbook Treat Holder

If you’re anything like me, you realize it’s only a few days until Christmas and you still have a few people you would like to recognize with a small greeting, treat or monetary gift.

Gingerbread Treat Holder decorated using Stampin’ Up! Jar of Joy and Sweet Jar sets with coordinating punch

These Matchbook-shaped Treat Holders are quick and easy to make (in bulk, if needed) and will certainly be appreciated by the recipient. They are the perfect size for a Ghirardelli Square or Ferrero Rocher Square. You can also add cash as a tip for a server or other service provider.

My YouTube tutorial provides all the cutting and scoring details. Credit goes to Dawn at Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts (YouTube) December 2024 where she shares this treat holder in a video.

Supplies Used:

The base of the treat holder was made with Crumb Cake cardstock.

Inks used were black, Real Red and Pecan Pie.

I used a gray marker to color the lid.

The Designer Series Paper (red polka dot) was an old Stampin’ Up! paper from my stash…possibly 15 year old!

You’ll need a stapler, glue, dimensionals, and strong double-sided adhesive for assembly.

Stamp sets used are Jar of Joy and Sweet Jar, along with the coordinating jar punch.
